116 Cross Street started out as a well-used family home that needed a little love. Over the years, as the house collected many great memories, it also collected an abundance of belongings. Aside from cleaning out everything inside the home, the outside needed to be cleaned up as well. That is how we started with the Compass Concierge services.
Immediately we hired our trusted landscapers to clean up the yard. Cutting back overgrown trees to reopen the spacious back yard, trimming bushes, planting new plants, weeding, and planting new grass for the lawn. The landscaping alone made a huge difference, but we weren't done here.
Next came the painters. We didn't feel the need to paint the entire exterior but felt that giving the shutters a nice new paint job and matching the front door to those would lively up it's appearance. We also noted that roof above the main house was not in good shape so we used Compass Concierge to get a new roof before coming to market.
While personal belongings were being cleaned out of the house, we prepared to have our painters strip the wall paper, apply fresh coats of paint on the walls, trim, and stair railings and balusters. In addition we had the carpets ripped up, hardwood floors refinished. We also replaced most of the light fixtures, a nice update to give a fresh new modern look to a room.
Bathrooms are often neglected over the years, and we find updating these with new vanities and faucets, and re-glazing the tubs and tilework can often make all the difference to potential buyers when visualizing your home as their own.
Finally, we painted the kitchen cabinets, installed new cabinet hardware, and a new kitchen island.
